Scribe for SQL Server
Scribe can be installed in several ways, depending on how you want to use it. You could download the latest version of the project. In the future you would have to update Scribe manually, but it would provide a way to use Scribe without an setting up a repository. Click the button below to download the latest version of Scribe now.
The recommended way to is to clone the repository from the master at github. In this way you can easily pull changes from the master and keep it up-to-date. And if you'd like to contribute to making Scribe better at some point in the future, this is definitely the way to go.
Scribe is a 64-bit multi-threaded console application that you can control completely from the command line in cmd.exe or PowerShell. Once you build the app, it's self-contained. Just copy the contents of the build folder wherever you like and begin using it. The sample scripts folder provides an example structure for using it for client projects, and expects the build files to be put into the "scribe" subfolder.
If you run the app without any parameters, you will get help and version information.
